The Challenge

LNC Services was appointed at the final stage of a complex heritage refurbishment project, supporting the conversion of an 800-year-old landmark building into a modern, high-end venue hire space.

The project presented a number of critical challenges. The age and heritage status of the building meant the cleaning approach needed to be carefully considered, with appropriate methods selected for sensitive surroundings. At the same time, the interior fit-out was modern and high specification, requiring an exceptionally clean and polished finish ahead of handover.

There was also significant time pressure. LNC Services had just three days to complete the full post-build clean, coordinating access, equipment and suitable cleaning methods within a complex site environment.

This was not a standard post-construction clean. It required precision, planning and experience working within a sensitive heritage setting.

The LNC Solution

LNC Services delivered a high-specification, bespoke post-build deep clean tailored to the requirements of the building and the final handover programme.

The cleaning specification was carefully planned to balance efficiency with care. Suitable non-abrasive products were selected for sensitive areas, with particular attention given to protecting both older surfaces and newly completed finishes.

Due to access limitations and the need to avoid unnecessary risk within the building, a cherry picker was used to safely reach elevated areas without relying on high ladders in more sensitive spaces. Equipment and cleaning methods were selected carefully to minimise disruption, impact and risk.

The approach focused on achieving a high-quality final presentation while respecting the age, character and significance of the building.

Delivery

Onboarding was handled collaboratively with the construction team to ensure a clear understanding of access requirements, restrictions and sequencing.

Given the compressed timeframe, the project was carefully phased to ensure progress without compromising safety or quality. Challenges typical of older and more complex buildings were anticipated and addressed through methodical planning rather than reactive problem-solving.

Despite the complexity of the site and the tight deadline, the clean was completed within the three-day window, ready for final handover.

Results

LNC Services successfully delivered the specialist post-build clean within the required three-day timeframe, supporting the final handover of a landmark heritage venue.

The project demonstrated LNC Services’ ability to work carefully and efficiently within complex building environments, where presentation, access, timing and attention to detail are all critical.

The completed clean helped ensure the venue was ready for its next stage of use, presenting the refurbished space to the high standard expected by the client and project team.
